Policeman Drowns In Rescue Attempt

An off-duty policeman, belonging to the Policía Nacional drowned off Playa El Palmar in Véjer de la Frontera, Cádiz in an attempt two rescue foreign tourists. He had been sunbathing with his wife on the said beach when he saw the two swimmers in difficulties, calling for help, so, without hesitation, he went to their rescue

Safer Beaches

The Mancomunidad has spent 100,000 euros on marking out the beach approach lanes for boats and other sea craft; we’re talking about the lanes marked out by twin lines of buoys that indicate the only place that you can beach or launch a boat from.

Retractable Post to Restrict Access

A Fire in An Operating Theatre

A maintenance worker suffered burns to 35% of his body after an electrical fire broke out in an operating threatre at the Hospital Clínica Inmaculada, Granada. A second worker involved was also treated for less serious burns.
