Apartment Fire in Chinasol, Almuñécar

It has been a busy morning in Almuñecar with all the hubbub around Edifício Miami… then smoke was seen over San Cristobal; simultaneously with the Edif. Miami incident a fire had broken out in Apart-Hotel Chinasol on San Cristóbal.

Lobres Fire Tackled

The Almuñécar fire service tackled a fire in Lobres, just above Salobreña. They were on their way back from another incident in Molvízar, which is why they were the first fire-fighting unit to arrive.

Las Gaviotas Gets A Visit

Kiddies from the Colegio Público Las Gaviotas in La Herradura had a chance to meet the local firemen, police and Protección Civil volunteers and find out what to do in an emergency.

Motril Blaze

Last night there was a brush fire in the Ronda Sur area of Motril – Ronda Sur is the road that links the port road to the Al Campo roundabout. Several parked cars were burnt out.

Vehicle Burns

A car went up in flames on the A-44, near Vélez-Benaudalla – the driver was unhurt and the incident did not cause any accidents.

Torched Cars Investigated

The Guardia Civil based in Nerja are investigating the circumstances behind an incident in which five cars were completely gutted by fire in the early ours of one morning.

Firemen Down A Hole

The Local-Area Council, (Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa Tropical) has organised a potholing course for the firemen of the towns along the Costa Tropical. Fourteen firemen in all, are being instructed in how to carry out rescue missions in caves, mines and crevices.
