A car went up in flames on the A-44, near Vélez de Benaudalla – the driver was unhurt and the incident did not cause any accidents.

However, what the incident did cause was four kilometres of tailback on the northbound lanes.

The car started to burn around 21.30h on Friday the 16th but firemen soon put it out and the Guardia Civil was able to get the traffic moving smoothly again by 22.30h.
