The figures are changing constantly so we try to keep up with them. Friday’s figures will probably be used to determine who can reopen on the 3rd after two weeks if their contagion rate has gone down.
Contagion figures across Andalucía are dropping in general. On the Costa Tropical, Salobreña has dropped below 500 and will probably reopen on the 3rd, whereas Almuñécar and Motril continue to be over 500 and will remain closed.
Remember: 500 or over, the municipality will have to close its boundaries and 1,000 or over means that besides closing municipal boundaries, all non-essential business have to close too.
Note: The Junta publishes daily figures from Monday to Friday. Monday figures are always sketching as not all the weekend data has come in, so the next one will be the Tuesday figures.

Pia: At present all provincial borders within Andalucía are closed, so no, sorry. Secondly, as the municipality of Almuñécar has it town limits closed as well, you couldn’t move into your La Herradura, holiday home even if you flew into Granada airport as opposed to the Málaga one. So, it is really a double “no.”

Anne: You’re welcome 😉 No, I’m sorry; all figures are on a municipal level. It’s the same for villages like Lobres, which is part of the municipality of Salobreña. The upside is that although the municipality of Almuñécar has had its limits closed, you can still travel between La Herradura and Almuñécar without infringing the restrictions.

Paul: It’s probably the decimal point readings that make the figures look very precise but it is merely finding out the percentage of the population that have given a positive PCR reading.
In the case of Albondón, they have a popuation of 728 and two reported cases in 14 days. One percent of the population is 7.28 people and 0.5% is 3.68 people. Therefore four cases will put them over 500 per 100,000 and eight cases would put them over the 1,000 mark. Fortunately, at the moment they only have two cases.
