Juventudes Musicales in Almuñécar celebrated last night its 500th concert, which was a great success, thanks to the bello concierto de opera offered by the Cantantes de Weimar with their sopranos: Mariya Seleznyova & Katja Bildt together with the baritone Michael Borth and accompanied on the Piano by Calio Alonso.

Roof Gives Way

Abandoned houses in the old town of Almuñécar (San Miguel) continue to cause concern. Recently one such house in Calle San Joaquín caused alarm when part of the roof gave way, with the owner inside. She was unharmed and it was indeed fortunate that the three children were away at school.
