These rainfalls in the province have left their mark on the Sierra Nevada - not a lot, but it will probably be a trend as the autumn comes in.
This image is taken from the ski resorts webcams and they show snowfall around the 3,000 metre mark in the area of the Veleta Peak. But there’s also light snow coverage down at 2,700 metres in the Borreguiles area.

The Junta de Andalucia representative Rocío Díaz (the ski resort is run by a semi-public company) shared images of the snowfall on her Twitter account with the accompanying text: “The first snowflakes colour our sierra white; the countdown for Sierra Nevada begins.”
Actually, this is not the first snowfall because we reported a fleeting presence of snow up there last month, but never mind. This time it’s settled snow, however.
The Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet) said that today’s rain could bring more snow. The temperatures today in Pradollano, range from between 6ºC and 9ºC whilst in the Borreguiles the maximum is 6 and the minimum around 2ºC.
As far as the rest of the week goes, light rain will continue into tomorrow but by Thursday we should see dry weather from noon onwards, both on the coast and inland (Valle de Lecrín/Lower Alpujarra).
However, Thursday will see a drop in temperatures with the snowline (in the case of more snowfall) dropping to around 2,100 metres; i.e., the same level as the ski-resort village of Pradollano, where the temperature will reach 0ºC Thursday morning at 11.00h.
