The Policía Nacional in Motril have arrested, yet again, a middle-aged man for burglar, suspected of forcing his way into two establishments in the town centres on two separate days.

The 50-year-old man, who has over 30 arrests under his belt, is accused of breaking into a sport-accessories shop in the early hours of one morning.

A security-alarm company contacted the police after one of the systems had detected an intruder. When officers arrived they found the metal shutters had been prised open.

Waiting for them was the manager of the shop, who confirmed that a whole rack of clothing containing 15 items of clothing with a value of 300 euros had gone missing. The manager then official registered a burglary report with the police.

Thanks to the security firms CCTV footage, the police were able to identify the suspect, who also happened to be the person who had carried out another burglary the night before in a perfume shop.

It wasn’t until two nights later that a police patrol that had been details on watching the area came across the suspect at 04.30h, accompanied by another person. They both ran off, throwing away several objects between parked cars but were finally run down and arrested.
