A woman in her early 50s was on an e-scooter when she collided with a bus in the centre of Granada.
The 51-year-old victim was riding on the Villarejo roundabout in the city centre when she was knocked off her PMV by an Alsa bus.

Alerted, the Policía Local and an ambulance arrived to attend to her injuries on the spot before taking her to Hospital de Neurotraumatología de Granada.
Editorial comment: bus drivers have difficulty seeing somebody on an e-Scooter, which begs the question, why are they allowed on busy roundabouts in city centres? Should they not be confined to bicycle lanes? Or perhaps they should just be more careful given that in bus vs e-Scooter fights, they invariably come off worse.

Reader’s comment: “The problem is you legally have to use the road in the absence of a bike path; and many scooter riders do not have experience of driving, so fail to appreciate the nuances of sharing the road with other vehicles. They assume that if they can see a vehicle, that the vehicle can see them; which is often not the case, especially in large vehicles that rely on mirrors for a lot of their visibility. This is complicated by the attitudes of some classes of urban professional drivers (notably some bus and taxi drivers) who seem to think they have some sort of priority over everything else. Personally, I just start with the assumption that everything else on the road is trying to kill me.” – Darren
