The police and fire service were needed to recover the body of an elderly man in Frigiliana who had fallen down a bancal (terraced land).

The accident happened around 16.00h yesterday on the victim’s land, which is on Camino Maldonado.

The emergency coordination centre, 112 received a call from the person who found the body; a relative of the victim.

As this area has difficult access, the fire serice were called out to help the Guardia Civil in order to transport the body of the 82-year-old man to the waiting ambulance.
