A man in Nerja died after he fell off a ladder whilst mounting an air-conditioning unit on an outside wall.

The incident occurred on Saturday in a private residence. The victim was at his friend’s house, helping him mount the aircon external apparatus.

Despite being flown immediately to Hospital Carlos Haya in Málaga, he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

The deceased, 53-year-old Darío Guerrero, was Argentinian from the province of Posadas, although he had lived between Nerja and Torrox for over ten years.

He was also the Chairman of the Nerja Argentinian club, Casa Argentina de Nerja with around a thousand club members.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at the Tanatorio de la Esperanza on the Avenida Antonio Villasclaras, (the road to Frigiliana).
