At present the highest contagion ratio amongst the coastal towns along the Costa Tropical is Gualchos-Castell de Ferro with 1,541.4 per 100k.
Yet that’s not the highest contagion ratio in the province as you will read further down so when the Health Committee meets in two days’ time, the Junta will try to impose severe restrictions if it obtains the approval of the regional high court.
The Junta has already received a rebuff from the Tributnal Superior de Justicia de Andalucia (TSJA) over its plans to introduce a Covid passport in order to enter a night bar, so nobody knows if it would back a curfew between 02.00h and 07.00h, which is what it would like to impose in some municipalities.
Castell had an outbreak in a residency for the elderly with over 50 people infected, although the number has since dropped by half, but without doubt what happened in the said residency has pushed up the municipal contagion ratio.
Bear in mind that quite a few of the municipalities with high ratios have fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, and are not treated by the same rule of thumbs as larger townships.
