Requesting a Vaccine

Anybody born between 1962 & 1966 (55 to 59-years old) can request an appointment for his or her vaccine directly via the SAS webpage.

AND Vaccine Timetable MY21Now, before you think that the British special forces are vaccinating people, SAS stands for the Servicio Andaluz de Salud, or in other words the Andalucian Regional Health System.

You can request an appointment via their webpage clicking on ClicSalud+, or via their phone app or even by phoning 958 545 060.

You can even walk into your local medical centre and request a vaccine appointment in person. This system was already in place for those aged 56 to 59 years of age and for 68 and over (born 1953 or before).

Those aged 55 will be receiving Pfizer or Moderna jabs. As long as they are already inscribed on the database. It doesn’t matter whether you have private or public health insurance. The only thing is if you have already had Covid 19, in which case you’ll have to wait another six months to request a vaccination appointment.

You cannot request your second jab, if you have already had one, but will have to wait instead until you are given an appointment via SMS or, of course, the date you were given for your second one when you had your first.

For those of us aged between 60 and 67 (born 1961-1954) you cannot request an appointment but will have to wait until you are called by phone or sent an SMS.

Pat: Yup, I’m 64 and had my first jab (Astrazeneca) on Monday with the second on due on the 23rd of August – prefer it sooner, but there you go. They seem to have got themselves moving on this at last. Good news 😉

Hiya. I handed in our downloaded forms for jabs and took both of our passports UK. I had a phonecall. My partner didn’t. So showed up and I had the Astrazenica jab I believe. So pointed out that I’m 65 and my partner is 63. But hadn’t got a call. So after some discussion they agreed to give her a jab too. Next one due in August.!!

Thanks to both Val and Dave for their heads up on my figures. In my defence, I’ve put on so much weight that in my 64th year, It’s a struggle to get my shoes and socks off to calculate up to 20 anymore…. 😉

Nice one Martin but don’t you mean anyone born in 1956. 1996 would make them 25 years old!

Too much of the old Navy Rum last night?
