Mayor Rufino had a meeting with representatives from Endesa in order to find a solution to the habitual problems suffered, especially during the summer.

It was back in February that a motion was approved during a Plenary Meeting of the Town Council to urge the Junta de Andalucia to get involved.

This latest meeting was the end result of numerous bureacratic manoeuvres over a series of months. Fruit of this administrative gymnastics, the Town Hall promises to provide the utility company with information on areas previously affected, such as the castle area, so that Endesa can draw up improvement plans.

Endesa intends to sink 180,000 euros into the coming work, which is three times more than last year. Included in the work will be the modernisation of the transformer installations around town. They’ll also checkout the low-tension network and the local talent… just checking to make sure you’re awake!

The meeting ended with both side promising to work closely together and send each othe Christmas cards – stop that snoring!
