The number of municipalities in Granada that have never had one case of Covid-19 since the pandemic began dwindles – now there are only four.
They are all small villages in the Alpujarra: Carataunas, Cástaras, Juviles and Lobras. Four municipalities out of 174 that exist in the province. Between them they have a total population of 741: Carataunas (194), Cástaras (249), Juviles (153) and Lobras (145).
On the 18th of September, there were 28 towns and villages without any cases of Covid: Alicún de Ortega, Almegíjar, Arenas del Rey, Bubión, Capileira, Dehesas de Guadix, Dúdar, El Pinar, Fornes, Gobernador, Játar, Jete, Lentegí, Lugros, Marchal, Otívar, Pampaneira, Polícar, Rubite, Soportújar, Sorvilán, Turón, Válor and Villanueva de las Torres.
Little by little they fell to the the invisible invader, amongst them Jete, Lentegí and Otívar…
