Another doctor has succumbed to Coronavirus in Granada, Tomás Ureña Fernández (1962) who died from complications yesterday.

Born in Jaén where he spent most of his working life, he transferred as a GP to the medical centre of Cenes de la Vega.

Dr. Ureña had spent a month battling for his life in the ICU in the Hospital Virgen de las Nieves, where his wife, a fellow doctor, works.

Like many, many medical staff, he became infected carrying out his work under these difficult circumstances. He leaves behind a wife and three children.

With this latest death, Granada has lost three medical staff to Covid.

Sometimes it is necessary to mention a name rather than a cold figure so that perhaps those that behave irresponsibly know what it has cost others.
