The Three Kings, Balthasar, Melchior, and Gaspar, won’t be touring the streets this Christmas but will make a more static appearance in the castle instead.

This change to the normal proceedings for the visiting, gift-bearing monarchs on the 5th of January was announced by the the First Councillor for La Herradura in order to comply with the present Covid restrictions.

Councillor Juan José Ruiz Joya explained, “children will have to go to the Kings rather than vice versa in order to receive their presents,” adding that the parents’ association of the Colegio Las Gaviotas will be helping out organising the event.

“We want this event to remain a happy one for the little ones, even with the health restrictions in place,” he said.

Come the big day, their Majesties will receive the kiddies between 16.00h and 21.00h on the afternoon of the 5th of January.
