We begin the month for our Looking Back section with an article about a shooting in Almuñécar’s Parque Majuelo. The actual shooting took place in March, but the arrests took place in June.
Two men armed with a 6.25mm (slightly bigger than a .22) pistol and a shotgun confronted the victim, wounding him in the arm.
Yet 2009 was a violent year in Almuñécar with an armed hold up down on the (old) Paseo del Altillo and a knife incident in a square, but no more spoilers!
