29 Rescued off Motril

A boat carrying 29 people, 27 men and 2 women, all of sub-Saharan origin, was intercepted by the Guardia Civil Coastguard Unit in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 22nd October), and all the occupants taken to Motril Port.

More Motril Port Success

Drownings 20% Up

Up to the 1st of August a total of 264 people had drowned in Spain; that’s 20% up on 2015, according to the Federación Española de Salvamento y Socorrismo.
