Spain Classic Raid

screen-shot-2016-10-23-at-21-18-17The second running of the classic car rally, Spain Classic Raid, reached La Herradura on Friday 21st October. The entire route that these classic vehicles take is Barcelona – Madrid – Sevilla over a week, with an overnight stop in La Herradura.

Every vehicle is over 25-years-old and they all arrived at the checkpoint next to the bridge over the Jate river in La Herradura. The occupants passed the night in Best Hotel Alcázar.

The following day, Saturday, after a rub down and check over, they set off on the final leg towards Sevilla.

Spain Classic Raid is a test of historical engineering for classic vehicles consisting of a mandatory course with an average speed a little less than 50kmh, using both tracks and roads.

At the end of the rally trophies for participants are awarded: first, second and third in sections.
