Spain Classic Raid

The second running of the classic car rally Spain Classic Raid reached La Herradura on Friday 21st October. The entire route that these classic vehicles take is Barcelona – Madrid – Sevilla over a week, with an overnight stop in La Herradura.

Woman Found Dead in Granada

The woman was found on Saturday night after a call from a man on the 112 emergency services line, saying that he had found the woman dead on the floor of the premises in Veronica de la Magdalena in the centre of Granada.

29 Rescued off Motril

A boat carrying 29 people, 27 men and 2 women, all of sub-Saharan origin, was intercepted by the Guardia Civil Coastguard Unit in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 22nd October), and all the occupants taken to Motril Port.

More Motril Port Success

The Spanish multinational Acerinox is using Motril port to export their products. The Tamarán Shipping Company along with logistics group JSV despatched the first three Acerinox containers from Motril, destined for a client in Switzerland.

Monty the Mountain Goat

Mountain goats (or Spanish Ibex) can be seen on a regular basis if one hangs around Cerro Gordo in La Herradura, but are very rarely seen in Almuñécar.
