Popular Party spokesman, Deputy Mayor and slayer of dragons, Juan Jose Ruiz Joya is determined to get La Herradura it’s own ambulance. To this end the PP will be raising the matter, very roughly, at the next plenary meeting.
Mr. Joya did, of course, being a politician, slip in a few bits of PP promotion into his ambulance statement, “in 2014, the Town Hall opened a new medical centre in La Herradura which cost more that 240,000 euros, as the old facility was outdated and lacked a paediatric service. Faced with a difficult situation the Town Hall got down to work and gave La Herradura a medical centre according to the needs of Herradureños, because we understand that health is a fundamental right.”
The Deputy Mayor also mentioned that the new medical centre treated more than 14,500 people in 2015 with around 6,400 paediatric activities alone, so despite the politicizing, it’s all good stuff and would be even more better if the centre had an ambulance service.
“There are cases that require a rapid transfer to a hospital, however, the patient is kept waiting because this service is not currently available,” Mr. Joya explained.
So, to this end, the Popular Party will be asking the Board of Andalusia to endow La Herradura with an ambulance on a permanent basis, able to respond to an historical demand and that would alleviate the existing deficit.
By the way, Juan Jose Ruiz Joya may not actually be a dragon slayer, but it just sounded so good!
