Salobreña Hat-Trick

Three items of news in one for this article, the first being the case of a man who was arrested in Salobreña after threatening a local with an antique pistol, fitted with a mini-bayonet. The 37-year-old Moroccan man was charged with the illegal possession of a firearm.

Mother and Son Arrested

The mother had reported a break-in during August of 2010 at their home in Castell de Ferro, with the resulting loss of money and jewellery amounting to 5,100 euros. Almost exactly a year later the son did the same, this time for 5,050 euros.

Guardia Civil Suspects ITV Fraud

After arresting and charging 29 people in the province of Jaen for manipulating speed-limiters on mopeds,the Guardia came across a forged stamp on somebody’s car documents.

(Fuengirola) The Policia Nacional have arrested a woman in Fuengirola for allegedly swindling 380, gigolo hopefuls.

Lawyer Found Guilty

The Motril law courts have barred a female lawyer from practicing after finding that she had allegedly swindled a client out of 2,750 euros.

Postbox Peril

(Alpujarra) A couple in Cádiar were arrested for allegedly fraudulently obtaining 21,000 euros from five victims, thanks to personal information stolen from their letterbox.

Functionaries and other Functions

Meanwhile, over in Sevilla, two town-hall clerks were arrested for allegedly stealing from the building for the last twelve years. The Guardia Civil carried out a surprise search at the Town Hall and carted off the two clerks, whom, it is considered, might have accrued over a million euros… illicitly! *Gasp!* When the 20,000-strong population…
