Minutes before midday on the 6th a fire broke out in a field next to the two schools in Salobreña. Consequently, The secondary school, IES Nazarí and the primary school, Segalvina, were evacuated.

The Almuñécar fire service tackled a fire in Lobres, just above Salobreña. They were on their way back from another incident in Molvízar, which is why they were the first fire-fighting unit to arrive.
