Missed Booty

A builder was having a coffee in a small bar in Colomera with some friends when he decided to go to the toilet, but absentmindedly left his wallet on the counter – so far, not good. Moments later another local from the town came in, saw the wallet, picked it up and exited rapidly.

Political Squabble over Aquarium

On the 19th of December the Mayor of Almuñécar, Trinidad Herrera, declared that the lease terms for the aquarium had been a “chollo,” meaning a bargain-cum-cushy number. The implication was that the Benavides administration had favoured the leaseholder, Aliart Engineering S.L. to a suspicious degree.

Baza’s Solidarity Market Gardens

The Mayor of Baza, Pedro Fernández, has requested a grant for 114,000 euros to create 50 vegetable plots, each with an area of 200 sq/m, to provide food for the unemployed. The money will also be used to train workers as farm labourers to work on existing farmland that requires a workforce.

IBI Increase Fixed at 20%
