Tarmay Improvements

Municipal maintenance workers have been repairing the Rambla de Caballero in Almuñécar, which runs down onto the Pozuelo Beach, Taramay.

Constant rainfall had eaten away the area where it reaches the beach, making access to the chiringuito difficult.

The Councillor for Maintenance, José Manuel, says that this job is part of the general maintenance plan to bring the Barrio de Taramay up to scratch.

Of course, you can’t just start beating the crap out of a beach, even if you are the all-powerful Town Hall, because you need the go ahead from the Ministry of the Environment in Madrid, via its provincial Costas office.

This weekend saw the Motorbike Meet down there, by the way.
