Salobreña has suffered from a series of break ins at restaurants on the paseo since summer. A total of 13 establishments have been targeted; twelve restaurants and one supermarket.

After complaints by several locals in Salobreña that food distributed by Amigos solidarios de Salobreña had expired use-by dates, the Town Hall has informed both this organisation and the Food Bank to cease this practice, otherwise they would revise its collaboration with them.

The Town Hall calls it an albergue, which translates as hostel or shelter, whilst the socialist opposition leader, Flor Almón called it an extermination camp for abandoned dogs. Both terms are probably inaccurate, one more than the other.
La Herradura Street Improvements
