Dúrcal Town Hall recently decided to cordon off the parking area in front of the Tu Súper in the centre of town, probably because the Town-Hall offices are moving in next door.
This hasn’t worked out too well for the supermarket because whereas shoppers could park right in front and load up with groceries, that will no longer be possible.

Part of the area is now for municipal-police vehicles and the other is carga y descarga, which might sound positive for the supermarket, but it is not.
You see, the larger lorries bringing deliveries (the majority) can’t fit in there; not because of their length, but because of their width – they would block the road for the Granada buses that regulary come by to stop at the main-square bus stop..
The main thing is that the Policía Local now have somewhere to park… which might lead to them doing something about the teenagers on mopeds and track bikes that scream down this main drag and through narrow back streets, unhindered by silencers on their exhaust pipes. It is only a matter of time before they hit a child or elderly person.
