Motril Town Hall has given the green light for the renovation of municipal police vehicles via leasing.
Eleven vehicles will be leased and adapted for police requirements (lights, sirens, etc) for a duration of five years costing 230,000 euros.
Mayor Luisa García Chamorro expressed her satisfaction (unlike the Rolling Stones) when this acquisition was approved at a Plenary Meeting of the Town Hall Council back in July.
“Our police force will very soon be able to count on a collection of completely new vehicles so that they can carry out their policing work.
Editorial comment: this may go some way in the form of appeasement towards the disgruntled municipal police, but until she pays them what she owes them for overtime, she can’t expect any Christmas Cards from them.
