The Motril fire service was called out on Wednesday to tackle a fire near Playa de Las Azucenas.
The emergency call centre received a call around 08.30h to say that there were flames amongst palms and wild cane behind the beach.
The fire was quickly put out before it could cause damage to private property or injuries to anybody.
In February last year there were two fires down on the vega on the Salobreña side and one in November 2021 on the Motril side.
