Unacceptable Delay?

According to the CA, since May 2015 residents on Altos de Cármenes Del Mar have been trying to get the Town Hall to do something about the unstable hillside on which the urbanizacion sits and the deterioration of access to the dwellings.

Residents requested that the Town Hall, “should go ahead with building a new access for the 157 dwellings in the upper part, as the main access road was in danger of subsiding.

Again, according to Convergencia Andaluza, despite the Junta de Andalucía pointing out that the Town Hall was responsible for providing this  in April 2016,  and despite the urgent motion being approved in a Plenary Meeting of the Town Council in August 2019, nothing has shifted the “inoperative” Urban Development Department.

“Over seven years have passed yet it took a court sentence to finally get the “slow and lazy” local administration to act,” read the party’s press release. It goes on to say that it took those seven years to get them to finally acquire land valued at 60,234 euros, despite the urgency of the situation and the frustration felt by the residents of the urbanización.
