Now that the Costa Tropical and Alpujarra find themselves on the same health level as the rest of the province, tourism is picking up but contagion remains low.
There are only four municipalities within the Costa Tropical and the Alpujarra areas that have over 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Ítrabo has a contagion rate of 201 per 100k and Jete has 215, but both of them are very small villages with not many inhabitants; hence the relatively high figures. Then come the small towns of Gualchos/Castell with 57 cases and Órgiva with 51.
Every other municipality on the Costa Tropical and the Alpujarra Granadina have everything between Molvízar with 36 to zero cases. In fact, the majority of municipalities in our health region have zero cases.
Put another way, in the whole of Granada, not just on the Costa Tropical and the Alpujarra, of the 178 municipalities in the province, 146 have had zero cases in the last seven days.
