Junta Publishes BOJA

AND BOJAThe Junta has published the changes announced yesterday evening in the official regional gazette (BOJA). It confirms the list of closed municipalities.

1. Maximum gathering, interiors and exteriors are reduced to four people. This does not affect those living under one roof nor establishments opened to the public. Neither does this limitation affect work activities, schools and universities.

2. As the situation develops, towns may be added to those that have their boundries closed if they surpass 500 infected per 100,000 inhabitants.

3. Federated athletes involved in official sporting events, not withstanding their living in a closed municipality, can cross provincial boundaries to participate in winter-sport competitions or to train as long as they have forfaits (for the Sierra Nevada).

Editorial notes: Bars and restaurants are restricted to a maximum of four people at a table.

Sierra Nevada remains open to people who want to ski for fun as long as they live in the province and do not come from a municipality included in the list above.

Finally, a reader commented that Carataunas was wrongly identified as closed down and that it should have been Soportújar. Unfortunately, the BOJA does not confirm this.

Aitor: Yes, it could well be that Salobreña will end up being included within the list of 49 municipalities within a week, unfortunately. Once a municipality is closed is remains so for 14 days.

Paul: Federated athletes are one thing; gathering with friends to play petanca is another. You cannot gather in groups of four people, inside or outside, for social or leisure activities. Sorry.

Salobreña is also walking on a cliff edge with 60 cases. 2 more cases on Monday or 9 more cases before Friday and it will breach the 500 and be locked down. I am not a betting man but if I was I know which way I would bet

Advice please. Is amateur sporting activity limited to 4 people? What about playing football or even petanca?

Soportujar and Carataunas have 1 positive between them. If the 1 unfortunate person can be moved from Caratunas then Carataunas will not be closed down. However neither will Soprtujar, by virtue of Soportujar having a larger population the 1 positive will give them a rate of 373 and they will free. They better get the witches up there to brew something up. It just goes to show that the 1 person makes all the difference and I imagine the town will be quite annoyed if this positive was picked up by someone at a social gathering. I also wonder if people will be dissuaded from getting tested now so at to prevent lockdown
