Motril Port continues to function within the protocol established by the recent Royal Decree, meaning that only freight that guarantees needed supplies is arriving.
One of the ships that has docked is carrying 2,500 tonnes of surgical alcohol used for the manufacturing of disinfection products. Another unloaded 3,000 tonnes of paper pulp whilst another is scheduled to arrive carrying refined petroleum.
Many port clerical works are working from home whereas those carrying out physical work, loading, unloading, storage, port police, etc continue with their normal tasks.
However, from last Sunday, only the eastern entrance to the port is open and it only allow port workers and fishermen through.
