The Central Government issued a modification to the Royal Decree governing the lock down. The amendments came into force last night at midnight.
The changes cover how many people can travel in a car, which until now was limited to only the driver. Now you can take your children to the shops if the alternative means leaving them at home alone. This obviously applies to one-parent households.
Can you visit relatives who live alone? No, you cannot ‘visit’ them, however you can ‘assist’ them where they need help.
Can I share the car with co-workers in my place of work? No, you can’t. However, if two people from the same household work in the same place, then you can. For example, a husband and wife who work on the same premises.
As for taxis… we have just spoken with a taxi driver and yes, you can take a taxi but there should just be one passenger. Again, if it is a question of children that you can’t leave at home, then there can be more but all passengers must fit in the back – nobody can ride shotgun.
