For the second time a body has been swept into La Herradura Bay. This time it was washed up onto the beach at the Peña Parda end of the bay.
The small body is of a woman or child and was discovered a little before 08.00h, which was when the emergency services received a call from a local who was out jogging on the beach.
The victim’s fingerprints were taken, despite the advanced stage of decomposition, before the body was taken to Granada to the Instituto de Medicina Legal for an autopsy.
This is the second body in a little over a week; the body of a woman had been discovered on the 18th.
Editorial comment: had the body been that of a European, washed up from a shipwreck…
