The Monday demolition order has been cancelled… or perhaps, postponed – it’s still not quite certain which.
The First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, met with the Sub-Delegate for the Central Government, Inmaculada López, which resulted in Monday’s action being cancelled.
He explained that they have again submitted a request for the installations to be handed over to the Town Hall as an ‘administrative concession for the next 30 years.’ In other words that it be leased by Costas to the Town Hall for that period of time.
It will take time for this request to make it through the clammy hands of the bureaucrats and thus for it to be accepted (sports facilities saved for 30 years) or rejected (new demolition day set).
