The Guardia Civil are investigating an attack against an ATM belonging to the BMN bank in La Herradura during the early hours of this morning, 10th January.

Thieves used explosives to blow open the cash-dispensing machine around 03.00h, however, it is still not clear at the time of  writing this article whether they managed to make off with the cash contents or not.

Obviously, such an incident in the village has caused quite a stir, both in the social media as well as on the street, especially the residents of Edificio Las Flores on the Paseo Andrés Segovia, where the bank occupies part of the ground floor.

The explosion not only caused extensive damage to the machine itself, but also caused notable damage to the facade and entrance to the bank.

The Policia Local are also helping with the subsequent police investigation.
