If you have a port, why not use it? Well, that’s what their Multiple Majesties must have concluded because the Three Kings arrived in town aboard a fishing boat, docking on a quayside, thronged with expectant faces.
No sooner had they set foot ashore, then they were whisked off on a parade consisting of 14 floats, bearing 350 kids and nearly 500 adults – OK, the majority of the participants walked alongside otherwise there would have been some heavy-duty fining… After all, they are Wise Men, right?
But one thing is for sure, there were a lot more people as spectators because it is estimated that 30,000 people enjoyed the parade! The Mayor, Carlos Rojas – as camera shy as ever – managed to get into almost every official photograph, bless his cotton socks.
