A little bit of special Christmas shopping was nipped in the bud, when the Guardia Civil swooped on what has been described as a ‘drugs supermarket.’ The two young men that were arrested allegedly sold marihuana, cocaine, hashish and ecstasy from their home-cum-‘drug store.’
The police had previously staked out one of the homes of the two men, aged 29 and 30 at the beginning of November. Within a month the police were certain that they were allegedly peddling these illegal drugs from home, as well as within the vicinity, so they obtained a search warrant from the local magistrate.
In the raided home the police found 100 doses of cocaine ready for sale, 56 doses of marihuana, 304 doses of hashish and five doses of ecstasy.
Apparently, it is normal in coastal regions, as well as specific districts of big cities, for drugs to be sold from one point, offering small amounts but of many kinds of drugs, rather than large amounts of one type in particular.
