
Over a score of volunteers scoured Río Seco & Río Verde, collecting up litter and rubbish in general from the river course last weekend.
A dozen volunteers have cleared up nearly half a tonne of debris on Playa de Fuentepiedra, which had been dragged down Rio Verde in Almuñécar by the heavy rainfall.
According to the Councillor for Agriculture at the Almuñécar Town Hall, the Junta has ordered them to stop clearing the rivers of vegetation.
