The heavy rains on Monday the 6th around ten in the morning affected both Almuñécar and La Herradura.

The fire service was called in on Avenida Costa de Sol and Avenida Príncipe de Asturias, as well as the habitual trouble spot for flooding, the N-340 running alongside the Friday market square.

Fortunately, the downpour was short and Río Verde, Río Seco and Río Jate were able to cope with the copious rainfall, although the Rambla de Caballero (Taramay) left a trail of stones and mud.

The early hours of this Wednesday, the 8th, has a forecast of even heavier rainfall – fingers crossed!
