La Caleta Fiestas

This weekend will see the fiestas to celebrate the Patron Saint of Salobreña’s La Caleta, La Virgen del Carmen. The fiestas will kick off at 19.00h on the Friday the 13th, culminating in the evening Mass at 20.00h on the 16th.

Don’t forget that up in ‘Megaville’ Lobres they will be celebrating their annual fiestas from Saturday the 10th until Monday the 13th in honour of San Antonio – Tony, to his mates.
Mind you, Monday doesn’t have anything happening, except for a Mass at 8pm – best not to attend that one if you are expecting a pint and a punch-up.

Partying in December

The early-December bank holiday went reasonably well, according to hotel occupation figures, which recorded 90% occupation rate.
El Puente de la Constitución (6th – 8th December) is always the first indication of winter tourism, so these positive figures were received with relief, even though not all hoteliers probably had to beat back tourists with a stick, undoubtedly.
