Saturday 16th

11:00h: Joyful Awakening by La Charanga Calipso (euphemism for being blasted out of bed by distress rockets salvos).
12:00h: Children’s Football match: La Herradura C F. –Vegas del Genil
13:00h: Inauguration of the Feria de Día. Calle Eucalipto.
17:00h: Grand, bullfighting event in benefit of La Asociación Española Contra El Cáncer (AECC)
18:00h: Female Football Match: 1st Div Provincial: La Herradura –Atl. Salobreña
21:15h: Inauguration of fiesta lighting, plus clowns giving red balloons away. (real clowns; no sarcasm intended)
21:30h: Mascletá en la playa, next to Protección Civil.
22:00h: Rociero choir Cosas Nuestras at the official municipal caseta (temporary bar).
23:00h: Show lasting most of the night with live music at the. Caseta Oficial de Fiesta. Live dance band is La Tentación & El Grupo Alalba.

Sunday 17th
08:00h: Fishing competition in la Herradura bay.
09:00h: Bicycle race up to Los Castillejos,
09:00h-18:00h: Livestock show next to Rest. Verdiales on the main road.
09:30h: 5-a-side Foot in the Pabellón Deportes La Herradura
11:00h: Joyful Awakening by La Charanga Calipso (another noisy bloody awakening).
11:00h: II Mototurístico La Herradura Meet. A quick ride around the town then everybody parks up and shows off their cylinder-buckled beasties at the village castle.
12:00h: Sunday Mass.
12:00h: Horse and Flamenco display in the temporary bull ring.
12:45h: Bicycle parade around the village, organised by Club Ciclista de Laherradura, setting off from Plaza de La Independencia.
13:00h: Feria del Día, Calle Eucalipto.
14:00h: Charity Paella in benefit of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC)
17:00h: Regional-Level Football Match: La Herradura C.F. vs. Purullena C.F
17:00h: Finals of the San José Tennis/Ping pong championships at Las Palomas.
19:00h: Handing over the children literary prize “Virana.”
19:30h: Aerobic exhibition at the Caseta Oficial. (Organized by Fusión Cuerpo y Mente).
20:00h: Martial Arts Exhibition at the Caseta Municipal: Kempo
23:00h: Knees up until your eyes bleed at the municipal temporary bar.

Monday 18thDía del Niño
10:00h: I Petanca Competition de La herradura at the Castillo de Laherradura
11:00h: Blasted-out-of-your-bed time with distress rockets until your mutt bursts.
11:00h: Radio-controlled aircraft display on the Playa del Carbón.
11:30h: Photographic exhibition: Mi Pueblo, La Herradura
12:00h: Workshops at the Centro Cívico
13:00h: Feria del Día. Calle Eucalipto.
14:00h: Competition for the best Flamenco costume at the Feria de Día.
15:45h: Pasacalles con Gigantes y Cabezudos. Salida desde el Centro
Cívico.
16:00h: Traditional Horse and Carriage parade along the Calle Real, accompanied by La Charanga Calipso & Gigantes & Cabezudos.
17:00h: Games & Greasy Pole for kids in the Plaza de San José. Note: Greasy Pole means a greased pole for climbing and not a geographic variation of Greasy Spic.
18:00h: Floral parade of Nuestro Patrón San José. Leaving from El Centro Cívico
22:00h: Big firework display. Not to be missed!
23:00h: Alcohol, cholesterol and stomping until your ears fall off, also known as dance & music party or Verbena

Tuesday 19th
09:00h: Just when you were lying there, unable to believe your luck that there were not rockets… Prolonged bell ringing from the village church until cracks appear in the foundations
11:00h: Charanga 2.0, Junto con las Majorettes
12:00h: Holy Mass in honour of Nuestro Patrón San José
12:30h: Concert given by the Banda Municipal de Música de Almuñécar,in the Plaza de la
Iglesia San José.
13:30h: Postumous homage to the laherradureño artist, José María Parra Gámez “Pepe Gámez”. Plazoleta Calle Canalejas.*
13:00h: Feria de Día with prize giving for different activities during the fiestas.
17:00h: Horse-riding display followed by a horse and cart parade next to the temporary bullring.
20:00h: Solemn procession in honour of Nuestro Patrón San José,
22:00h: Dancing demostration by the Escuelas de Baile
23:00h: Final night of merry making at the municipal bar, interrupted at midnight by the traca final, also known as, ‘gunpowder heart-attack.’
