Nude Man Interrupts Mass

There seems to be a growing trend of interrupting religious services at churches and what follows is just one more case of this. A man stripped off his clothes at the altar and launched a tirade of invectives against the congregation.

A Happy Ending

On the 15th of March there was an article in the Ideal newspaper concerning a couple that was living in the back of a car, after losing their jobs and finally their home. Whoops!

The Chairman of the Granada Press Association threw what can only be described as an atomic wobbly when confronted by a heckler at an Hispano-Israeli conference in Granada. Things became simply surreal when a young woman burst into the hall waving a Palestinian flag quickly followed by the Chairman whipping his belt off and brandishing it at her, promising to thrash the startled woman.

Jailed for Attempted Murder

Yes, it is annoying when workmen cut off your water or electricity for maintenance or repair work without letting you know before hand: if they know in advance, why not let you in on it so that you can fill up the bath, for example? Bogus Construction Company

The Guardia Civil has arrested a man in Pinos Puentes (near Granada) for allegedly charging 24,000 euros for a series of construction jobs that were never carried out. At the head of the marchers were local representatives from many of the unions, including the CCOO and the UGT who sent their leaders in the Granada, Ricardo Flores and Manuela Martinez, who called the reforms, “useless, inefficient and unfair,” a sentiment backed by the United Left and PSOE representatives.

Strummer Street

Do you remember The Clash? Then you will remember Joe Strummer, who is in the process of having a street in Granada named after him. From 1984 he was often here, loving the fact that he could hang out in a pub and nobody recognised him… well, almost nobody. He was friends with the top Granada band of the time, 091.

That Sinking Feeling

Otura, which is a town off the autovia just before Granada, is sinking about a centimetre a year – hardly free fall, admittedly, but not frightfully clever, either.

Suspicious Wardrobe Content

You would be wrong if you think that this article has something to do with women’s clothing in a Conservative MP’s wardrobe… No, this is about a wardrobe that was supposed to contained 6,000 euros! Read on…
