The governing coalition in Motril has suffered a reverse at the last Plenary Council Meeting after it tried to have its 2017 Budget approved – it was rejected by both ends of the electoral spectrum.

29 Rescued off Motril

A boat carrying 29 people, 27 men and 2 women, all of sub-Saharan origin, was intercepted by the Guardia Civil Coastguard Unit in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 22nd October), and all the occupants taken to Motril Port.

More Motril Port Success

The Spanish multinational Acerinox is using Motril port to export their products. The Tamarán Shipping Company along with logistics group JSV despatched the first three Acerinox containers from Motril, destined for a client in Switzerland.
