Nerja Blue Flags Back

The Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor, ADEAC, confirmed has informed the Nerja Town Hall that it considers that the problems with the beaches has been sorted out and that it can now fly the blue flags again from Burriana and Torrecilla.

The Asociación de Empresarios de Nerja (AEN), has congratulated the Nerja Town Hall for its collaboration and help provided during the shooting of a Bollywood production in the streets of the town.

Movement on the Marina Front

The Nerja Town Council approved a motion to resubmit a request to the Agencia Pública de Puestos de Andalucía for them to study a pre-project for a future marina on the eastern coastline of Nerja. The said document was first send in February 2011.

The Nerja Councillor for Beaches, Nieves Atencia, has issued a press release to inform that the Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor, (who issue the blue-flag distinctions) has withdrawn the blue-flag category from the Maro and El Playazo beaches.

Río Chillar Parking Changes

The Nerja Councillor for the Environment, Nieves Atencia, has announced that the Town Hall has begun the process of signposting the road access to Río Chillar and around the quarry, which give access to the Cahorros area.
