Regional News: An off duty Guardia-Civil policeman was strolling along in the hospitable and welcoming town of Prune when his attention was drawn to a man and a woman – one armed with a wood axe and the other an iron bar – busily trying to kill somebody, allegedly. He begrudgingly opted to end his day off and intervene.

Getting Shot of a Lover

The Guardia Civil were called into the medical centre of Rincon de la Victoria after a man was brought in with a gunshot wound to the back. The 50-year-old victim, a foreign national, was brought in by his lover, whom he had surprised with another man.

Joint Taxis

Nope! This has nothing to do with sharing a taxi, but with joints as in ‘spliffs.’ The Police came across three taxi drivers, waiting for clients, smoking away on a marihuana joint next to Malaga train station… they were impressed!

Bank Robbers Arrested

The Guardia Civil and Policia Nacional carried out a joint operation that culminated in the arrests of two bank robbers accused of having carried out raids on the Banco Popular in Salobrena. These two men had burst into the branch, wearing hoods and carrying fire-arms on the 1st of July. A third member of the gang waited outside with the get-away car.
