At least two people are dead following a helicopter crash, this morning, in the area known as La Fuente de la Gitana, which is in the Granada province between Tocón de Quéntar and La Peza.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been released after the accident, when the aircraft came down in this mountainous region of the province.

The Guardia Civil is unable to confirm how many other people were in the helicopter at the time but did say that the flight was via a private company from Palma de Rio (Cordoba), although they are still trying to establish where the flight was headed and where the people on board were from.

The emergency services were first alerted to the crash at 11.25 via a 112 emergency call.

This incident is only a couple of hours old, so information is scarce. This post will be updated as and when new information becomes available.
