The Bar in The Market

At last there's a bar open inside Almuñécar's new, municipal market, which was inaugurated a couple of months ago.

The bar, which opened last Friday, is run by Jessica Aragón who sells gildas clásicas. That’s probably the most well known pincho or banderilla in Basque gastronomy.

It consists of a green olive, a salted anchovy, and a pickled chili pepper (piparra) on a toothpick. She also provides other kinds of gildas and tapas.

The market is designed to house three bars but only Jessica’s is open for the moment.

Apart from this tapa bar, there are 40 stalls, selling fish, meat, fruit & veg, deli items, flowers, bakery items, and spices, etc…

It opens from Monday to Saturday from 08:00h to 15:00h, whilst bars will be able to extend their activity to Sundays and night hours.
