With long tail-backs already a problem on the A-44 northbound as people pile off the beaches and head inland, over on the A-92 this weekend, there was a crash involving a van.
The accident occurred around midday on the 1st, on the A-92 where it passes through the municipality of Moraleda de Zafayona.

The vehicle ended up on its roof in the centre of the two eastbound lanes. With the van straddling both lanes, a tail-back stretching five kilometres soon built up.
Fortunately, despite how the van ended up, the occupants were able to get out of the upside-down vehicle without assistance as they were practically unhurt.
An ambulance was despatched to the scene of the accident, near kilometre point 215, along with the Guardia Civil traffic police, who were needed to direct traffic whilst road-maintenance crews cleared the road surface of small pieces of wreckage, broken glass and spilt fuel/oil.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident so it appears that the driver simply lost control of the van causing it to flip over.
